Chalet by the Creek is located in Lake Elmore and just 5 miles from the downtown of historic Stowe, known for its trails and ski slopes. In Stowe, you can enjoy arts and crafts shows, a balloon festival, the weekend-long British Invasion event held annually during the third week of September, and many other special events. Nature lovers can visit Stowe Recreation Path that runs 5.3 miles (8.5 km) and has received several awards and honors. The city of Burlington, a celebrated, vibrant, small city located on the eastern shoreline of Lake Champlain, is 31 miles away. Forbes magazine ranked the city in 2010 as one of the "prettiest" towns in America, featuring a picture of the Church Street Marketplace on its cover. Stayed for 3+ weeks during the month of December. The cabin exceeded expectations in all regards - outstanding hospitality including groundskeeping, great amenities, well appointed cabin. Host was welcoming and communicative throughout the stay. Would recommend to friends and family.

Cute, rustic cabin in the woods with a lovely wood stove in beautiful, peaceful surroundings — and only 15 minute drive to Stowe village. Lots of local trails but I also enjoyed just walking on the roads by the cabin which were scenic with almost no traffic. Stephanie was a very attentive host and was quick to replenish things like coffee and firewood whenever needed during my 6 week stay.

Stephanie was an incredible host from the point of booking to the moment of departure. She was incredibly responsive and her caretaker, Taylor, was excellent as well. He placed sand down on the driveway to make sure the snow was not a problem and answered our every question along the way. My partner and I never wanted to leave and we joked about refusing to leave! Perfect Vermont getaway, where to start. This cabin is stylish and everything has been installed with care. The kitchen has all amenities necessary, the oven is small but does the job. The wood fire is a real treat! One bedroom with second lounge next door, plenty of room for a two people. The shower needs to be mentioned, it is the best we have seen on Airbnb, great pressure, clean and stylish. We would love to stay again.

This cabin is an absolute jewel! Very well set up, cool modern cabin style, high end everything! 5 minutes to Stowe and hiking and waterfalls and everything. Very accommodating for dogs. We absolutely loved it and will come back next season. Stephanie is a wonderful host.

The pictures while lovely don't do this place justice. It is kind of like taking a picture of a panorama from a mountain top, it looks beautiful but doesn't quite capture it. We loved Stephanie's place. It is on a rural road off of another rural road and is nestled in the trees with a lovely creek and even a place for a quick (and cold) dip on the property. Read more

Stephanie's cabin is a real STAND OUT in Vermont - stylish, up-to-date, cozy comfortable, perfect location, clean - the ideal place to stay with a couple of friends or a significant other. The kitchen is absolutely perfect for cooking gourmet meals. The deck and porch are amazing during the day, but especially at night for star gazing. Read more
